My love of painting, with its qualities of hand made materiality and human scale, and the energy of old churches have inspired my work for over twenty-five years. Foregrounding painting, I engage in a variety of approaches encompassing painting, installation, animation, performance and sculpture to better connect with the architecture and history of the places where I exhibit my work and to encourage viewer and community participation.
