The summer of 2008 I traveled to France, visiting some thirty churches in different regions of France to investigate the principle of underground currents as augmentation of spiritual experience. My research provided essential grist for my project, A Porous Space, which was presented at Heskin Contemporary, New York, where I incorporated the mapping of underground energies through dowsing to determine the layout of installation components, which included oil paintings, unique painted books and site specific and participatory Line Videos emphasizing the individuality of the hand while connecting each participant to others.
