For Home: Public or Private, I based my project on the information provided by professional dowsers who mapped underground waterways, fault lines and ghosts inhabiting the exhibition site at historic Chicago Edgewater mansion, 6018NORTH run by curator Tricia Van Eck. Because the installation was so minimal-paint removed from the basement flooring to reveal the underground currents‐the book provided context for visitors via a series of one color blue ink paintings and short, connected narratives exploring the history, ghosts, and psychic space of the house.
